The property is gorgeous. Service is outstanding: Staff is warm and friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I was here for a business trip (business hotels in the business sector of town are boring); The staff quickly noticed, made a meeting room available, and pointed to where I could get coffee, etc. The hotel is in the middle of the "old (colonial) part of town" which is undergoing an "upgrade," and becoming the "cool" part of town. (at night the property is very quiet - no street noise). It's a walkable, touristy area at night, full of restaurants and bars, but I also learned from my business relationships that a number of wealthy locals are buying properties close by and making homes, modernizing old colonial structures.

My stay at the Kimpton was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The property is really beautiful and located in a perfect area. I really enjoyed the dining options and pool area. My room was spectacular although the view from the balcony wasn’t great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The only issue was the loud music at night and early in the morning. Our room was on the third floor near the pool. Next time, I'll request a quieter area of the hotel. Additionally, if there is a wedding, be prepared for strong bass vibrations, as there are no quiet hours.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and modern, and most of the staff were warm and attentive. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn on the final morning during breakfast. My mother and I were approached by not one but two managers who asked a series of intrusive personal questions — including where we’re from, what we do for work, why we’re visiting, and when we’re leaving. One even asked for our room number. Meanwhile, we noticed other guests around us were simply told to “enjoy their meal” with no such interrogation. As a Dominican-Bermudian woman celebrating obtaining my Dominican citizenship and first property purchase, this treatment felt deeply discriminatory and out of place in a luxury setting. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome — a stark contrast to how we felt during the rest of our stay. This experience sadly overshadowed what could have been a glowing recommendation. I hope the hotel takes steps to ensure all guests are treated with equal respect and dignity.
