Friendly staff but dated room

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. The minibar/fridge wasn't working when we arrived. Reported to reception on our way out and was fixed when we got back a few hours later. The room appeared a little dated. No tea or coffee making facility in room which was a real downside.

Don’t do it…

The room was super hot and the AC did not work. In fact, the AC pumped out heat! The staff sadly had no solution except that the AC is an old system. So had to open the windows and experienced the joy of a very busy main road and building site next to the windows. Little sleep for two nights. And I had pay more for the privilege of a larger double bed too. Staff had the opportunity to put things right and not charge me, but they did.
