Informed of 50k guest fee AFTER guest had left, no hot water in showers, loud. Difficult to speak with manager, told come back later, then shes sick, etc. Finally spoke with manager who was helpful (and wasn't sick). I changed hotels.

The hotel is located in Santa Marta not El Rodadero. Staff is friendly and the room had a good size and it was clean but loud you can hear cars and people talking from outside. The room decor can be better theres no minibar fridge and theres no mirror except the little one in the batheoom... Little details that cost nothing to please their visitors..The location is good because you are close to everything the Santa Martas Bay is just in front, plenty of restaurants and bars in the area.

Spartan and noisy but clean and cheap.

First off the room is big enough as we expected by the photos. However, there is no refrigerator, no safe, no telephone. We do have a TV though. As far as staff goes they are regular people with ZERO idea of customer service. The desk people look like they don't want to be there at all and it looks like an effort to even smile. The breakfast is simple and good enough. The women making it speak only Spanish which is not a problem. We manage with a little Spanish. They are very nice in serving you and greet us with a Buena Diaz unlike the desk staff. It's on the main beach road and very busy and noisy. The restaurant below the hotel is very good food and reasonable. $COP 35000 for a plate of grill both of us couldn't finish. However this place can be noisy with music and the street noise coming up when in your room. Also the street vendors coming into the restaurant below make eating there a challenge to refuse the constant barrage of begging and vending. Worth it at CAN $54/night? debatable. I'm happy it wasn't any more than that.

Hotel bien ubicado frente a la Marina de Santa Marta. Personal atento y habitaciones espaciosas. Unicamente fue molestoso el ruido de la calle pasado la media noche y el flujo de agua en el hotel era escazo! Aconsejable para personas que no necesitan silencio para dormir.
