Nice hotel. Very clean, breakfast was great and the staff was accommodating. Only complaint I have is that is was very noisy at night due to the wind. It’s very windy in Santa Marta in December (not sure about other months) because the sliding door glass door to the balcony wouldn’t latch shut. Also, the staff wasn’t very helpful in assisting us with transportation from Santa Marta to Barranquilla. We flew into and out of Barranquilla. Other than that everything was fine.

Whoever designed this hotel room clearly never stayed in it a single night, or perhaps never stayed in a hotel at all! Both the shower and the *toilet* are separated by a thin glass screen from the rest of the room - that doesn't provide proper privacy, and doesn't even close properly!! So water will flow out when you take a shower, and please try to sit on the toilet when someone else is in the room and share your feelings, I'll wait. Additionally - there's no way to use the sink's tap without having the entire area flooded with water, because the cheap faucet head they installed sprays everywhere. Moreover - if your hotel is located in a city where tap water is not safe to drink (like Santa Marta) - you HAVE to provide drinking water to guests. Bottled water was not provided after the first day, and that would be fine if there was a filtered tap to use in the common areas - but there isn't one! Want drinking water? you have to ask the staff at the bar to fill your bottles for you, and only during opening hours!! Ridiculous. The only reason this review is 2 stars and not 1 is the friendly service at the front desk, and the property's cleanliness. Avoid this hotel.

The shower was clogged up. We asked them to fix it. They said they would but they never did. It was gross to use the shower. The place was dated and you can hear everything from your neighbors. The people staying in the room next to us were so loud. But I suppose that’s just luck.
