Everything started out great. It was New Year’s Eve, and was attending a friend’s event within walking distance. The attendant was helpful and checked me in like normal.
I go to the hotel room, opens as normal and a couple are in the room. Shut the door, walk back to front desk to make sure I was checked into the correct room. Attendant wasn’t there. Several minutes later a young walked out and apologized, she’s an employee.
I waited probably 10-15 minutes for someone to help me. He seemed to be a new employee. After he called a manager I was upgraded to a better room, granted was late to the event. I asked the attendant for a late check out. It was NYE and knew friends and I would have a fun night. Late check out was granted.
The following day, just after getting out of the shower an employee knocked on the door, telling me that my credit card was going to be charged for another night.
I told her, I was not staying another night and had a work event. She said it didn’t matter and was going to be charged anyway.
As I was leaving the hotel I thanked the original attendant. The female employee rushed out of the office and said, “you’re still being charged for another night.” Told her, “you can charge my card but I’m going to dispute it and lock my card.” My cards are always locked so she couldn’t have charged me anyway. I have stayed at 51 hotels during 2025, being from LA/ Northern NM and an entertainer, I expect/ed better service considering the situation.
