This is a beautiful cottage. We really enjoyed staying here. The decor is beautiful rather beachy and the rooms are very nicely done super super clean within walking distance of restaurants and shops and the harbor. Breakfast was lovely. We enjoyed it in the sunroom. The only caveat I would say is if you’re staying here be aware there’s a lot of stairs

My fiancé and I booked a one-night stay at this hotel in Santa Barbara for our wedding, and while the front office staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, the condition of our room unfortunately fell far below expectations. When we checked in, the staff at the front desk were friendly, the office area looked great, and after we mentioned that our wedding was the next day, they even gifted us a complimentary bottle of wine, which we truly appreciated. The woman at the front desk pointed us in the direction of our room, and everything seemed off to a good start. However, upon entering our room, we were immediately met with a foul smell. The rugs underneath the beds were dirty, there was a large black spot by the fridge, and later that night as we pulled the curtains closed, we noticed red stains along the bottom. The chair in the room was also extremely dirty the arms were black and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The bathroom was also concerning. There were visible mold spots on the ceiling of the shower, which made us even more uncomfortable. Trying to sleep was difficult. The bed sheets had a strong, unpleasant odor, and I couldn’t have the blankets near my face. When we unfolded one of the extra blankets, we found a brown stain on it that was questionable. It was incredibly disappointing and unsettling, especially considering this stay was meant to be part of our wedding

Where to begin...We arrived late afternoom to the most delicious aroma of what we thought was a Chrismast candel...however it was William the front desk paerson was making a vanilla loaf for the breakfast service. He was very attemptive and caring as was Jessie, and the rest of the staff during our stay. It is an excellent hotel, great breakfast, very clean. We foungd a new hotel 10 stars for service , location, and cleanliness. We are coming back and telling all of our friends

Check in was great, however after repeated requests on how to operate the AC unit, I was finally told it was broken. When I asked to change rooms I got a response that hotel was sold out. When I asked for a maintenance I was told it was not possible (it was only 5:30 pm on a Wednesday) and that I could ‘just open the window’… my room was on the 1st floor and unfortunately a lot homeless persons in the area, I wasn’t comfortable leaving my valuables with an open window. Plus street was very busy and train was running often. Impossible to get any sleep. Sheets were very wrinkled, almost looked used. Cleaning stuff was spitting loudly right outside my window in the morning. No further comment here. At breakfast, the front desk staff acted as I bothered her. Parking is tiny. There is no way this is a 4 star property. More like 2,5. They offered $25 credit…wow

It was a decent place, but in a terrible location, and not worth $700+ a night. They basically took a beater property and covered it in a bunch of expensive looking stuff. You still get garbage towels and a dirty bathroom with very low water pressure. We had a wonderful view of the dilapidated homes in the very unsafe and gross neighborhood, and the peace and quiet that only comes with listening to all the cars race up and down the very busy street all night. They have no problem charging you $50 to bring a pet, but there is nowhere to walk them without leaving the property and going into the sketchy neighborhood. The breakfast was ok, but pretty basic and more common of a 2 star place. The pictures are doctored to show way more light than there is. Great marketing, but overall a ripoff. There's better places to stay in SB...
