I paid for the Grand Master Suite – and while I got a room that had everything listed, it was definitely not the room that displayed in the pictures. Pictures showed a suite that is spacious and large, and had a bathtub – I got a relatively suite that was a series of small rooms. It felt like I didn't actually get what I paid for. Both nights there was live /loud music in the restaurant area and I could hear it from the room. Bathroom smelt like sewage. Carbon monoxide alarm was beeping first night and I couldn't sleep – had to get it removed. Hotel said the store was closed and couldn't get me toothpaste at night.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of San Miguel. It was a perfect location that allowed us to walk to all of the festivities while also being far enough away from the plaza to be restful and quiet. Their courtyard and gardens are so lovely that you almost don't want to leave the hotel.

Beautiful hotel and staff is nice. If you have any mobility issues it is a problem. My partner could not climb stairs and I had arranged for the largest room. None of those were on the ground floor and we had to go to a new hotel without a refund or compensation of any kind.

This sprawling hotel is an artistic refuge in downtown SMA. A former colonial monastery the property is a labyrinth of passageways, stairs and arches with bright colors, flowers everywhere, and museum quality ceramics and other crafts at every turn. The staff is attentive, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the Mexican breakfast in the courtyard is transcendent. Check out the murals in the bar! A word of caution to travellers with mobility/vision challenges: ask for a room in the front so there are fewer stairways to navigate.
