There are much better places to stay. The photos make this "resort" look much better than it really does. The rooms are very basic and worn. The carpet was disgusting and the room was not clean. You can hear everything your neighbors do. We listened to screaming children, dogs barking, people stomping around above us and couples fighting the entire time. We got no sleep, it was awful. The bed was like sleeping on concrete, the pillows were flat and terrible. The "lake" is more like a pond in actuality. Nothing positive to say about staying here.

Really wanted to like this place, but didn't. It's worn, the walls are paper thin. We were on the ground floor and the people above us kept us awake all night for the duration of our stay. You can hear people walking, talking and slamming doors all night. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from the pool as possible because they play music all day at the pool starting very early in the morning. The resort fee is a joke: you pay for a stale s'mores kit and alleged lake access you never get to redeem. Additionally, the property is quite far from San Diego proper so you'll spend more than forty minutes driving to and from there. The staff we encountered were nice, but it doesn't make up for the property's shortcomings. Very unhappy stay.

The property was great. Lots of amenities. Two restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful area. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Nice shower and big TV. Fire pits, bike riding, boat rentals, golf course Etc. Overall, a very nice stay and we will be back!

Beautiful hotel. Very nice lobby and nice rooms. But like many a hotel, they seem to focus on visual appeal and service falls by the wayside. Check in and out was fast. But the room service was terrible. Had ants all over the counters, lake flies on the ceiling, the shower drained very slow, I addressed all these issues with the hotel but they never addressed them. Our room was never serviced even though I placed the door tag to request service. The pool and bar were nice. Cafe had good coffee but microwaved food. Not enough fire pits. Restaurant was good not great and the cocktails were garbage. Shame, nice location too.
