I had a nice room with a balcony and a partial view of the ocean, which was beautiful. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only issue I had was beach access. Because the hotel is on the cliffs, the beach access was about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and you had to climb down about 80 steps to get to it. I'm 74 years old, so that was not going to happen for me.

Room was definitely not as described online, the carpet was super dirty looking. I also didn’t get any ocean views from the hotel room and I paid extra for it. Overall the place was okay, would I stay here again? Probably not. The bathroom was old needed to be updated for sure, water pressure was awful too.

The location was excellent, staff was helpful. We enjoyed the fire pits at night and walking along the cliffs. The hotel pool and spa were nice and heated. It was cute that they had balls and treats for the dogs when we arrived. The beach below had great tide pools. The rooms themselves were just okay. The carpets (in the pet friendly room) was stained and could use replacement or deep cleaning. The room we were in was a little bit dark. Otherwise it was just fine. We didn’t spend much time in the room. We were here to enjoy Pismo.
