Urbana is a cozy and welcoming place with such kind, attentive staff. The only small issues were that the hot water wasn’t always consistent and at night some outside noise and music could be heard in the room, but overall it was a pleasant stay.
The staff of Urbana Hotel was amazing and so welcoming but allowed you space to breathe. They let it be known that they are available for you 24/7 which I witness when I locked myself out of my room at 12:30, and sure enough they made me a key by the time I walked around the corner to the office. I’m not sure if it was a coincidence but it was an all female staff from what I could see. And a private parking lot next to the checkin office if you do decide to rent a car on your stay. I will definitely be returning.
It's really nice since the bus stop is next to it (I rented a car but when I drop it I went back to
The hotel in the bus) was convenient, the staff are super friendly, easy going but the facilities seems not take care of and I request them to clean but they don't change the sheets/blankets and they didn't swip or mop, neither clean the zinc or the shower and also the shower doesn't have hot water
Pro:
Free parking in their lot and on the street
Staff were really nice
Cons:
Extremely small space. Stay here if you are looking for a place to sleep only.
The shower water NEVER got warm, and definitely never hot.
Amazing hotel. Really felt like a local staying in the area. Great customer service. There was a cafe across the street that was amazing as well and lively. Will be booking again next time we visit!

Liked: Staff & service
The room was very small. The floor was poorly painted and seemed dirty even though it wasn't. The remote control for the TV was missing, it took 1 day before we got a new one. Felt very safe, 2 doors with code locks. The staff were nice and very helpful. Got lots of cold water to drink. Air conditioning was great. A little cold water in the shower when the weather was bad outside. (the water is solar heated)
The only thing I disliked was the smell of marijuana in the hallway for the first 3-4 days. Also a couple constantly arguing and fighting and slamming doors at all houre of the night and morning. Once they left, it was quiet again.
The hotel was very cute! It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the bars but short uber trips. It’s close to the beach. Highly recommend staying here if you’re here to party. They have a club down the street. Overall we had an amazing stay. We would come again.
Late night receptionist wouldn’t help me figure out my wifi for my room. She was taking another guest to her room when she asked me in English if there’s anything she could help me with for a second time so I told her I was just going to use the wifi in the lobby instead. She then sent over a security guard and in Spanish said “hey can you stay in the lobby because he’s a guest but (and pointed her head towards me)”
I said out loud “if I can’t use the wifi in the lobby then I’ll just go to my room.” I then got up and went to my room.
My cell phone stopped working during my trip and need wifi for it to work. If as a guest I can’t use the lobby wifi or be made to feel uncomfortable using the lobby wifi by having a security guard watch only me despite others guest being there then why have wifi in the lobby?
