Shuttle transportation was not offered, and the front desk staff told me the transportation service is offered by a third-party vendor at a very expensive rate; even when the Marquis website clearly states a luxurious vehicle is offered as part of the all-inclusive scam. Booking thru Expedia made me lose most of the perks offered by the hotel.

This place is a joke. Charged us all inclusive rates and we couldn’t even get a dinner on Dec 31st. They closed all the restaurants and limited us to a prefixed dinner on their so called “celebration”. None of the people on our table ate their appetizers because it was that bad. We were seated right next to the speakers and couldn’t even spend time on our table due to the loud music. We asked for our meal to be brought up to our room. We never got our meal. I had to come downstairs and ask for it. I was told they ran out of meals and when I called the room service they spoke Spanish only (I assume everybody else was busy). This is the worse experience I have ever had. I was promised that one of the managers will get back to me to address the issue. So far I called and emailed twice. I would stay away from this place.

This is an exceptional resort. Each event, experience, interaction and meal was great! The staff was attentive and courteous. They remembered our names each time we needed something. The staff is what makes this property better than most. Azucena manages the restaurants and is so efficient. Tania and Alejandro treated us so well at breakfast each day which made it even more special. Carlos and Francisco were great are Sakke restaurant and Roberto at Villa Ballante and Jorge at Pergola all standout for their exceptional service. Julio and Arturo would come by near the pool and ensure you are well served. Alejandra (I may not have the right name here) and Gabriela helped us find the right activities and get us a car to go around. Jonathan did a great job showing us the room and helping with the luggage. All these people made the stay unforgettable. I literally remember the names - never wrote it down. That's how special they all were. There was only blemish and it was not the hotel's fault. The concierge got us a rental with National at USD 145/day including insurance, and we rented for 2 days - price was double of what you found online but we thought the service would be great too. Orlando from National brought us the car and said he needs to charge in Pesos the equivalent of USD145. Its on us that we didn't check the conversion rate. I think we equated National with how great the hotel staff had been and trusted. Big mistake! The "conversion to pesos" turned out to be a scam and we about $40 more. When we realized and asked Orlando told us it was the "National conversion rate". I think they knew what they were doing and its unfortunate.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Marquis Los Cabos, and without question, this is the most beautiful resort I’ve ever stayed at. And that’s saying a lot—I’ve been to Mexico four times: Cancun once, Playa del Carmen, and Cabo twice. This one is in a class of its own. The property is stunning, but what really sets it apart is the staff. Everyone is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The bartenders are top-notch—true professionals. If you want to see a real mixology show, ask them to make you something spectacular and just enjoy the experience. It’s entertainment in a glass. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is absolutely picturesque. And here’s a major bonus: the whale activity. You can literally watch whales from the resort. Pro tip—get up early to secure a good spot by the pool and enjoy the show nature puts on. This is a relaxing, refined resort. If you’re looking for a wild party scene, this probably isn’t it. But if you want to unplug, recharge, eat great food, sip amazing drinks, and truly relax in a beautiful setting—this is the place. I couldn’t have chosen a better spot to celebrate a milestone birthday. Highly recommend.
