This was such a great value for money! The location was perfect and the beds were suuuuuper comfortable with great pillows. The hotel was also VERY quiet. I will definitely be staying here again.

Not the best, not the worst. Pros, great location very walkable, large room, secure building, quiet, great view, our room had a shower/toilet, not all rooms do. Also, not sure why there was a shower cap on the smoke detector..kind of a safety hazard.

Location, location, location! Just know that the closest and bestest garage to park in is one block back on the NW corner of Ofarrel and Mason. There is a rental car agency on the ground floor. Another BIG note, check is kitty corner and 1/2 block up Powell at the Hotel Stratford. You must check in there before you will be able to get into the Herbert!!! Id suggest, dropping someone in your party at the herbert, park, check in, then help each other up. If alone, you can walk 60yards with your bags after checking in so, drop you bags quickly at the stratford Hotel, park, check in, then walk back to the Herbert.
