Great place to stay

All staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early so we were able to check in earlier than planned which was a great bonus. It’s a great hotel with a lot of character and the location was perfect for walking to our many adventures. We would 100% stay here again and recommend it to others!

I had a pleasant stay, the room was impeccable clean, small details count a lot and although it is an old building, I have no complaints at all, the staff was very nice and thoughtful, arrived past midnight and I was even offered late check out at no extra cost. I would stay here again.

The Chancellor represents outstanding value - amazing downtown location at considerably less cost than the usual chain hotels. Not luxurious, but very clean, serviceable and comfortable. I would stay there again!

Our first visit to San Francisco. We loved it. It was a great area, very walkable and trolley pick up right at corner. We loved the daily snacks in the lobby. We will definitely come back.
