Clean room, great AC, decent location

My husband and I stayed here while visiting family in Boerne since the San Antonio hotels were cheaper. We arrived around 2 AM and checked in with no issues. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was simple — granola bars, prepackaged muffins and danishes, plus coffee and juice — just as other reviews mentioned. The lot shares a fence with a Wendy’s whose lobby stayed closed, so if you’re an early riser looking for a heartier breakfast, you’ll need to use their drive-thru. I called the front desk to decline housekeeping since we’d be out for a few hours, but no one answered. We were a bit concerned about leaving our belongings, but housekeeping simply refreshed our towels and everything was left exactly as we’d left it. The only downside was some street noise from cars racing on Saturday night. The pool looked clean, though we didn’t get to use it. It’s open 10AM-10PM. Overall, it was a clean, quiet stay with a simple breakfast and good value for the price. Just note — the large lit-up sign doesn’t say “Blue Way Inn”; only the smaller black block letters do, so it may have been recently renamed or purchased. Just be weary we almost missed the entrance.

The motel staffmembers are kind and attentive. Despite what other reviews say, we didnt see one bug-and I always check-in our room. The doors were a little banged up, but it was a pet-friendly room, and im sure carriers have scraped the doors over time. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. We slept great, and even felt comfortable enough to extend our stay there, since we were waiting for our utilities to be turned on at our new house. The staff was courteous and professional. My daughter enjoyed the well-maintained pool. Thank you!

The appearance of the decorations was very nice. The property itself looked good until you saw renters blocking stairwells and leaving food on the stairwell. The owners were extremely nosy and went out of their way to watch me but not the renters who was trashing the property. My cousin was supposed to pickup my dogs and put them in her yard but she didn’t show up. So the property owner decided to approach me without introducing himself first. He just started drilling me asking questions at 4 or 5 in the morning. My experience was very uncomfortable and the restroom was dirty with hair and dirt buildup around the counter so I can imagine how dirty the floor was. He changed reduced the $20 pet fee to $15 because the room was dirty but that wasn’t a good compensation for how dirty the room was. Breakfast only had breakfast bars and cookies and crackers and prepackaged snacks-No hot food.
