I made this reservation in Oct 1st 2025. My flight to Salzburg arrived at 1030pm on Oct 31. By the time I got to the hotel there would have been no one at the front desk. Between Oct 1 to Oct 27 I have been writing to the Plaza Inn to send me the access code so I can enter the property after hours. I received that code minutes before my flight landed in Austria. Had I not received that code I would not have been able to enter the property and would have been standing outside of that lonely area. Also, when I arrived at the property I did not have clear instructions on how to enter. I stood outside over an hour trying to get into the property. When I finally got in and went to the room I spent another hour trying to figure out how to turn the lights on as there was no clear instructions on how this was to be done. I was not happy with any of this at all. Now today I checked out and the hotel can send me instructions on how to check out but never sent me clear instructions on how to check in. Not good! Also, why was the reservation number from plaza inn not made available to me anywhere on the Expedia site? I sat entering so many confirmation numbers only to get the correct confirmation number a couple of hours before I arrived in Salzburg. Now I am seeing that I have an outstanding tourist tax to pay. Why was this not said to me just now when I checked out? I am so annoyed about my experience and i feel this tax should be absorbed by Plaza Inn or Expedia. Goodbye.
