First of all - full real air conditioning. Too often in Europe there is either no AC or there is some sort of “economical” one. With 32C/close to 100F outside you really need one. Great breakfast with gluten free options. If you refuse room cleaning you get drink coupons for the bar. The hotel is 100 feet from pedestrian street with tons of shopping and dining options.

Nice Stay, but Family Room Setup Could Be Better

We stayed in a family room at NH Salzburg for $450 per night. When we opened the sofa bed to get it ready, there were no linens, no pillowcases, and the comforter was bare. We had to call to ask for fresh linens and an extra towel. If they had at least covered the pillow with a case, I wouldn’t have noticed the stains on it (see attached). It was frustrating because it’s a family room, yet there were only two towels and breakfast for two people. We had already informed them we’d have an extra person and were willing to pay, but it didn’t seem to be reflected in their system. Because of this, we were even stopped at the breakfast area. I don’t mean to sound picky, but having to ask for so many basic things made me feel like a difficult guest, which I don’t like. Guests can be demanding, but I don’t want to feel like I’m the “diva” asking for so many things. Otherwise, the room itself was comfortable, and the location was fine. Overall, I’d give this hotel 3-4 stars, but I hope they can improve on preparing family rooms more thoughtfully in the future, especially considering the price.

No bellman, and when you enter a bar is directly in your face, no parking at hotel, bathrooms miniscule and it seems it has had a lot of traffic, visible on carpets and some walls. But at least clean and the staff of the breakfast team and the breakfast itself are amazing

Great hotel

We were pleased with our stay, the location was great, walking distance from everywhere & but quiet & slept great. The room was on the 3rd floor with not a great view but we were hardly in the room so it didn’t matter. The beds were VERY comfortable & the a/c was a blessing. We thought the coupon for drinks in the bar if we didn’t want our room serviced was a brilliant idea. We usually don’t need ours cleaned & had 8 coupons which worked well for us. All the staff were courteous, professional & helpful. The only real negative was the cost of the breakfast which we found expensive so we ate elsewhere very morning.
