Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet and walkable to the main areas in the city. Room was a little cramped and not a lot of charging sockets - was clean though

Worst Holiday Inn I’ve been to. The tub had all sorts of mold growing around the edges. The shower head was broken and barely hanging on. Went to the restaurant to order dessert but they closed all service for guests to accommodate a tour group’s private dinner, I couldn’t even get a bottled beer from the front desk staff even though the beer fridge always a few feet away. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work and it has no readings either. Then on our last night there the hot water went out in the whole building and still wasn’t working the next morning either!

We had a great stay here. Ideally located for us to walk or catch the bus it was a convenient location. The staff in reception were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.

Incompetent staff and sub par hotel

The staff were incompetent, 1. They assigned us a room that someone was already in, 2. The 2nd room smelled like stale cigarettes and the door didn’t open properly 3. The 3rd room, the blind was broken in the down position, this got us a 20% discount on the room 4. The staff apparently didn’t have the powers to split the bill payment 50/50 as they didn’t know how to do it and the manager was new and apparently didn’t have the power to do it.

Decent value for location to the old town. Internet access always reliable. Not much in terms of food options around the hotel. Close to train station. Room was outdated. Faced the back so was quiet. AC doesn’t work when window is open. Not super strong AC, but did the trick with 32 degree days.

I wish I could give this property ZERO stars! This is an absolute scam of a property!!! From the moment we checked in, we had nothing but the issues. The first room was in-operational down to the room safe. We were moved to a different room that had operational items but was HORRIBLE in cleanliness. We were too tired on the first night to notice that but when we woke-up, we noticed fluid stains on the beds and comforters we slept in. It is anyone's guess what those fluids were. There was mold on roof and the walls. We were assured in the morning that everything will be taken care of by the time we return from our daily activities and we will be moved to a cleaner and safer room. We came back that evening after dinner to find multiple guests fighting and yelling with the staff on the same issues. The staff at concierge were doing their best to manage the situation but were limited by the "management" in what they could do. The 'management' was no where to be seen. Long story short, the clerk at front desk promised us to give us a full refund (we have a hand written note from him) but the management refused and charged us for two nights (one we spent, and one we didn't). Expedia customer service couldn't help us either as the 'management' wouldn't honor their own hand written promise! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
