We booked two rooms for our family and they were both large, comfortable and modern. AC in each room and an elevator was nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Inge helped me immediately with notifying the correct parties pertaining to my lost passport. She went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. We will stay at Bergland Hotel again in a heartbeat next time we’re in Salzburg.

We enjoyed our stay finding the hotel very clean and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The walk to town was a little long, about 20 minutes, in hindsight I would have preferred something closer. The hotel itself was a little dated, could use better lighting in the bathroom and some upgrades to the shower. The breakfast was very basic and vegan, fyi.

Nice sized room for two guests, everything was spotless, and there was even turndown service after one night. Lovely staff. Location is great if you don’t want to be in high traffic tourist areas, but Less than 15 mins walk to the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Highly recommend!

We greatly enjoyed our time in Salzburg staying at the Bergland Hotel. The room was very comfortable and staff was ready to help with any needs. The front desk was excellent helping us navigate the public transport, helping us know about things to do, security tips, etc. We would definitely repeat our stay there!

Highly recommended family run establishment

We were given a very warm, friendly and personal welcome when we arrived. The room that we were given (a generous upgrade!) was spacious and well equipped. Everything worked (although the iPhone/iPad docking station was a couple of connection generations out of date....). The location is convenient, close to the centre but not too close to be bothered by constant traffic noise.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, offering us recommendations for sites to visit and dining options along with tips for navigating the city. The location was not only easy to drive to but was within walking distance of all the sites. Our room was larger than expected and very comfortable. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

Location was perfect, its away from all the crazy busy tourist and minutes away from delcious food and beer. I would definitely stay here again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Salzburg. The location is great, just a short walk to the Old town. Our room was incredible! Large, clean and with a charm that you don’t find often. The whole place felt warm and cost in fact. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite too, we can’t thank them enough for all that they did for us.

Wondering about high rating.!!!! No Staff after 8 pm till 7-8 am. All doors locked even to the deck. No service staff. Only receptionist till 8 pm. She was very nice ( Caroline). Room clean but not pleasant and comfortable to spend time in. at least the room I am staying at. Price high for what it offers.

The private garden patio was a welcome and lovely spot to read a book, have a small picnic and listen to the many bird songs. Our room was very roomy and kept super clean. The air conditioning was just being inspected as we checked out, and even with the fan provided, the room was a bit stuffy. Not too far to the old town and a quiet district. Don’t have the breakfast - vegan only, just an fyi.

Enjoyed our stay a lot. Host was very welcoming. Room nice, quiet. Breakfast limited but adequate. The hotel is not in the centre of Salzburg, however the walk back and forth is pleasant and safe approx 20-25 min.
