Luxurious spot in St Malo

Staff was wonderful, the room was roomy, the bed comfy and the bathroom well appointed with toiletries, a plush robe and slippers. Beautiful views of the ocean and a very nice (if busy) spa.

5 star dreaming. How this hotel was accredited with 5 stars is beyond comprehension. Some of the staff are totally disinterested in offering an acceptable level of customer service. Unfortunately I risked lunch in the bar area. The salad was part frozen. Who freezes tomato? Book at your peril.

I do not recommend

The room had a very unpleasant smell, as if the carpet had never been washed. Very small shower. Breakfast was awful, cold, unappetizing scrambled eggs that took a very long time to arrive. None of the waiters in the restaurant spoke English, is this really the standard for a Grand Hotel? The situation was saved by a very polite employee from the reception and a beautiful view.

L’emplacement de l’hôtel était excellent, à deux pas de la plage, ce qui a rendu notre séjour très agréable. J’ai particulièrement apprécié l’expérience aquatonique ainsi que le massage en duo partagé avec ma fille — deux moments mémorables. La proximité immédiate de la plage était parfaite, et nous avons également beaucoup aimé l’expérience au restaurant de l’hôtel. La cuisine était unique et a ajouté une touche spéciale à notre séjour. En revanche, je n’ai pas apprécié le massage aux pierres chaudes : la salle était étroite, sans fenêtres, ce qui m’a posé problème étant donné que je suis claustrophobe. Je pense aussi que l’accès à l’aquatonique devrait être offert gratuitement aux clients de l’hôtel, cela rendrait l’expérience encore plus complète et satisfaisante.
