Charming House in Charente

The property of Russas near the typical village of Saint Adjutory and Chasseneuil sur Bonnieure in Charente has been the property of the Counts Bousquet of Pasquet de Laurière since the 16th century. Over time the property has been divided up, today it is the noble part that remains including the Louis Philippe style castle at the beginning of the 19th century, a large pond of more than 3 hectares facing the castle on more than 15 hectares of meadows and woods. The surrounding nature is very green and hilly with many forests bordered by small agricultural fields and grassy bocages for cattle breeding.
The old farmhouse building in local stone dates from 1848, completely renovated and close to points of interest such as the medieval town of La Rochefoucauld and its famous Renaissance castle, the tourist sites of the lakes of Haute Charente and the city of Angoulème.
