Wonderful, rustic adventure

We didn't know what to expect exactly. The staff was amazingly friendly and warm. There are many ways to stay her - camping, RV, small units, and cabins. They were very cute, clean with lots of light. The beds, with comforters, were wonderful. Best sleep I've had on our trip to NZ from Oregon, USA. The facilties (BR, kitchen, etc.) were not in the room but across the way. They were very clean and well lit. Everyone using them were courteous and cleaned-up after themselves. There was a wide range of facility users - families, youth groups, travelers. All were very nice and relatively quiet - even the teenagers! Many different languages spoken. Simply a wonderful experience for visitors from another country.

On arrival the staff were very friendly. The unit that we stayed in was clean and had a lovely parklike outlook. As the weather was cooling off, another blanket on the bed would have been useful. Heating in the room was good.

Our room was big clean and convenient within the park for the toilet kitchen laundry and pools. Beds were super comfortable and had a jug fridge and toaster for convenience in our room. Highly recommend

This was the first time staying in the motel units (normally stay in the older multi bedroom units) and were reasonably happy with the room. Good size, good layout, quiet and warm however more could be done to up-keep these. We noticed many of the window latches were broken, couple lights not working, shower drain broken. Not the end of the world but they are such good units, it seems a shame to see them getting 'worn out' so fast. This same level of up keep seems to stem through to the games room and kids playground which is a shame as the park is great, it just could do with a bit of TLC. I've been staying at this holiday park for many years (as a kid myself and now taking my own kids there) and will continue to do so, will just be great to see some money invested into facilities especially for the kids.
