Love the area and the service was wonderful. From the moment they had someone pick us up from the airport to our departure we felt well taken care of. They even gave us a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon.

Staff was very attentive. Rooms are quite nice. On a negative note, the elevator is sized for two people.....you are going to wait a while for it. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

My sister and I absolutely loved our stay here while in Rome! We needed to be close to the train station so it was perfect, but when we returned to Rome, the location was a little further away from city center so we had to stay elsewhere. We really wished we could've stayed longer at The Major. Great staff, beautiful rooms and common areas, lovely rooftop, and surprisingly great slippers!

Great little hotel for a colosseum trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Very close to a lot of great food options, a beautiful church and a 15 min walk to the colosseum. We stayed at the end of August and it was very hot outside but the hotel AC worked very well and kept us cool anytime we were in the rooms. The only thing we didnt love was the layout of the bathroom which was small and cramped but it was fine for the few days we were there. The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. Given the reasonable cost we would stay here again.

Our family has stayed with this hotel multiple times and it feels like there has been an ownership or management change. One of the worst stays. Elevator was out of service on arrival. Staff was uncaring and not helpful. Left us on our own to carry all our luggage up the stairs to our room. No help at all. In fact staff found it entertaining and funny ! Breakfast was horrible. We prepaid for it and when we let them know it was disappointing and poor quality, they wouldn’t let us cancel. We were forced to continue to pay for it even though we would not be eating. Staff at every level was not helpful at all. From assisting with transportation, to shopping and food, just terrible attitude. Sad to see this happening to The Major.
