I chose this because I didnt want to be in the crowded centre. Everything is accessible and the hotel was quiet for a good night sleep. I had a small single room, perfect for me. The shops are all around piazza poppolo which is close. Dont know about pets, I don't have any.

We had an amazing stay at the River Palace Hotel! The location was excellent easily accessing all the main Roman sightseeing areas! We walked, ate, and enjoyed the well lit city during the Christmas holidays.
