I stay in Rochester often for work, so I've enjoyed the opportunity to visit many hotels in the area. Here you are paying for elevated service and downtown location, which were both top notch. However, parking costs extra, breakfast costs extra, even the bottles of water in my room had a fee attached. Additionally, and this is unique to my experience, there was work being done on an adjacent room which included hammering at 7:30 AM. And the pool was closed for maintenance.
I'm happy I was able to experience the Hilton Garden Downtown, but personally I feel it's not worth the cost and all the extra fees.
