I stay in Rochester often for work, so I've enjoyed the opportunity to visit many hotels in the area. Here you are paying for elevated service and downtown location, which were both top notch. However, parking costs extra, breakfast costs extra, even the bottles of water in my room had a fee attached. Additionally, and this is unique to my experience, there was work being done on an adjacent room which included hammering at 7:30 AM. And the pool was closed for maintenance. I'm happy I was able to experience the Hilton Garden Downtown, but personally I feel it's not worth the cost and all the extra fees.

Five night stay, first time at this property. Clean, great to have a fridge & microwave, comfortable beds and bedding, connected to Galleria & Mayo by skywalk, food available for purchase. Was not quiet due to traffic but quieted down after 10pm. Parking is self ($19/day)or valet($25). Would stay again!

The person checking me in was crabby and didn't give me any information upon checking in, like is there breakfast, when, how much does it cost, is there a pool, etc. She didn't smile or feel friendly. It was uncomfortable. Maybe they were having a bad day. The maid came to my room at 10:30 to ask when I was leaving. That made me feel rushed! This is a old hotel that needs updating and a deep clean.

My only negatives were the outside noise from loud cars or fire engines this however is no fault of the hotel. My other negative is that you have to pay for parking 2 blocks away. Lastly both beds were very hard and uncomfortable and could use some updating Otherwise my room itself was clean and updated,the front staff were kind and friendly and the hotel was located close to shops and restaurants.

A room of the expected quality, although the air conditioner was extremely loud and I had to sleep with earplugs. Hotel did not notify me of a package delivery and I had to chase it down. Cooked breakfast options were poor. The pool and hot tub area is nice. Convenient location to restaurants.
