Ideal spot if you want to be in the old downtown of Reykjavik. The only issue is parking and lack of valet service. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast buffet so make sure to select that option. It is about an hour from the international airport. So keep that in mind.

The hotel was in the middle of downtown, and it was very easily accessible to many major attractions in Reykjavik. Parking was an issue, however. Each day, we had to drive around the local streets to find parking P2 parking was difficult to find. The hotel itself was very comfortable.

Hotel Borg is a nice hotel right in the heart of the downtown area. Walking distance to everything interesting for first time visitors to Reykjavik. Nice friendly and helpful staff.

Happy with this choice

This is a grand hotel right in the historic district. Easily walkable to Reykjavik shopping. Lots of dining choices within 2 blocks. Roooms are huge. Hotel is tired but still grand.

The property is very well located and walkable to everything. The property is older which is charming in someways and not so much in others—only 2 people with luggage could fit in the very old elevator at a time. The rooms were very spacious and bright. Our only real issue was that after a red eye flight, we were exhausted and while we did not expect an early check in, our room was not even ready at 3:00 pm (check in time).
