I do NOT understand the positive reviews. I was fooled by them. The rooms may have been sloppily remodeled a few years ago, but this place is still complete trash. Our window faced the entry door to the building and we were on the second floor. With the window CLOSED we could clearly distinguish all conversation going on at the sidewalk below us through the A/C unit. Every footfall above us comes with both thump and excessive creaking. Gaps below the doors means no sound barriers between the rooms and hallway. The lighting is dim to hide the stains and dingy furniture. The bathroom “fan” is pathetic. No soap dish. Towels are too small. The door handle to our room was loose and didn’t make us feel secure. In the evenings the majority of parking is taken up by people visiting the casino and restaurants, and we didn’t even stay on a weekend. This is a sketchy area, don’t plan on walking anywhere and definitely take everything out of your car. If this wasn’t a one night stop over on a road trip, I would have checked out within 20 minutes and paid more for a nicer chain on the south end of town.

Honestly I selected WV as it was the least expensive during a holiday wkend(only needed 1 night) didn’t have many expectations. Restaurant options, food and service- were OUTSTANDING. Such a pleasure to encounter employees who are actually glad to be at work and offer such attentive service with cheerful attitudes. Room was basic but bedding was very comfortable, clean, cool and quiet. It was more satisfactory than I could ask for. I understand this facility and its restaurants are a fan favorite amongst locals. Mattered NOT to me but some casino frequenters would appreciate knowing casino is slot machines ONLY. Not glitzy or showy but you can tell the managers/owners take pride in upkeep, maintenance and cleanliness of this place. A diamond in the rough

Great place to stay and great price

We only stayed one night at this spot but it was very nice, clean and comfortable. We were close to the festivities happening that weekend and did not have to deal with a ton of traffic. The location overlooked the marina which was gorgeous. This is definitely a place we plan to stay again.

The Western Village Inn is right in the middle of Reno, making it easily accesible and go around the city. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are nicely appointed, clean and spacious.
