Great times at the Eldorado

It was a quick visit and my first time at the Eldorado but it exceeded my expectations. We had delicious meals and our room was clean and comfortable. We usually stay at the Grand Sierra but may make the Eldorado our new regular spot.

When we arrived they said they didn’t have a room we reserved (one with a king bed) ready so it would be an hour wait. We came with friends who booked the same room and they got to go right up to their room. We waited and when we got to our room it reeked of cigarettes and even though it was supposed to be a non smoking floor. When we called they said there was nothing they could do about it except move us to a whole other hotel?! When we asked for compensation they couldn’t compensate us because we booked through Expedia. They gave us a small resort credit we could barley use there. Such a waste! Will never stay here again!

I reserved a NON-SMOKING room and when I checked in the front desk gave me a SMOKING room. Of course, the smell was terrible. I called front desk to request a change to another room because the smell was causing me headaches the manager JAMES very rudely told me that I had to stay there because they did not have more rooms available and even though I reserved a non smoking room, the hotel does not guarantee that, they will provide a room yes but just what is available. I find this action super rude and irresponsible because I had to deal with the smell my whole stay. I will definitely try to stay away from this location again.
