The breakfast was first right and we had Rushmore on her mind so the big pictures over the bed set the mood just right and the price was beyond compare on anything we saw from Washington to Minnesota and back. The front desk was especially friendly as in maybe they were the owners.

This is a complete and utter joke of a hotel. It completely baits you with nice pictures but is actually located in a bad part of rapid city and also very unclean and had random red stains on the walls….do with that what you will…..we were tricked by the pictures and thought we were getting something more clean and nice for the amount we spent on the night.

They were undergoing renovations which were much needed. Hopefully once it is all renovated they will be better. It is quite noisy, however as there is no insulation and you can hear the people in the next room very loud!

The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate after a mishap with the booking, which was the biggest plus of the stay. The property felt unclean throughout the lobby and hallways, though the room was mostly clean. There was active construction on the hotel, so we were awoken fairly early on a Sunday morning to crews using power tools and banging on the walls, which was unfortunate. Overall, the hotel room was passable, but lacked the feel of what you come to expect for hospitality. It was an ok hotel, but I probably would look elsewhere on my next trip to South Dakota.

This hotel is a bait and switch. It's disgusting! They could not provide any of the amazing, our ac wouldn't work and they said oh well. The pool had to be drained...there should be a place to post photos!!! Do not go to this hotel!!!!!

The bathroom light / fan combo was on when I entered the room. I noticed after I shut it off, and to turn it back on. It took about 15 minutes to come back on. Isn't that dangerous to leave that fan running like that. It might start a fire.

We were denied accommodations even though we had reservations. Staff was rude and their attitude was overbearing. After waiting for two hours to be checked in we were forced to seek accommodations elsewhere.
