A wonderful place! Very clean, good location, but not in the middle of all the buzz downtown, and the service and comfort level were wonderful. I had a fantastic sleep after a very long day of driving, and work very rested.

Nice hotel - very clean and the staff were all friendly. Room was large and clean. My only issues were that housekeeping didn't bother to service my room (not nice to come back after a long day out to find the room hadn't been touched). Also - they seem to turn off the AC between 12-6am, which makes the room uncomfortably warm.

At check in we were notified they would accommodate a a 2pm late checkout. When we asked on checkout day the receptions would not accommodate and hung up on use. When we visited the desk she was very hostel. The kitchen manager steps in the cook her off. Props to him. They charge $15 a night for a nonsecure street lot. Very unsafe area with homeless camp across the street and active late night activity.

I recently stayed at the SpringHillSuites byMarriott in Durham for four days, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming,which set a positive tone formystay.However, I encountered some issues regarding payment and room service.One of the main challenges was that we were unable to place our cards on file since we were sharing the payment. When I requested fresh towels and room cleaning during our stay, we did not receive the service as expected on the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as I had hoped for better attention to our requests.At checkout, I spoke with Shae, the front desk assistant, about splitting the payments.Unfortunately, she was unable to accommodate us and, after contacting her supervisor, I was informed that splitting payments was not an option. This was surprising, as I’ve had this option at other Marriott locations.On a positive note, the breakfast options were quite different from what I’ve experienced at other Marriotts. Typically, I expect to see sausage or bacon, along with fruit and yogurt, but there was none of that available.The room itself was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for my friend and me.The floor was quiet, which contributed to a pleasant experience overall.In summary, while the hotel is welcoming and clean, there are areas forimprovement, particularly in staff training regarding payment options and room service requests. Ihope tosee these changes for future guests

This was a perfect little spot to stay if you want to be close to Durham and still feel cozy and away from the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and we liked the decor in the room. Happy we found this spot!
