We have stayed at the Marriott Durham City View before and we have really enjoyed our visit. We drive down from VA and love staying here when we go to the DPAC performances. This time we were asked if we arrived by car and would our car need to park in the hotels parking lot. When we said yes, we were charged and additional fee for parking. This is new from the last time we stayed here. I have never had a hotel charge me to park my car in their parking lot. We are considering finding another hotel next time,

A wonderful place! Very clean, good location, but not in the middle of all the buzz downtown, and the service and comfort level were wonderful. I had a fantastic sleep after a very long day of driving, and work very rested.

Nice hotel - very clean and the staff were all friendly. Room was large and clean. My only issues were that housekeeping didn't bother to service my room (not nice to come back after a long day out to find the room hadn't been touched). Also - they seem to turn off the AC between 12-6am, which makes the room uncomfortably warm.
