Our First Two Nights in Ecuador

This was our first trip to Ecuador. We stayed our first two nights at Lugano Hotel, and we had a very positive experience! We arranged for airport pickup through the hotel ahead of time, and after flying all night, it was a welcome sight to have a driver with my name on a paper waiting for us! The cost was reasonable, more convenient than finding a taxi, and our driver was very nice. The room at the hotel was clean and roomy. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a small kitchen and living room. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The woman at the front desk (I wish I knew her name) was wonderful--very helpful, kind and patient with all of our questions!! She spoke English and helped arrange a tour for us and transportation during our stay. The included breakfast was good, and included a few hot items, as well as juice, toast, coffee, etc. The location is a little out of way from the new town, and the old town, but we were able to get taxis easily and inexpensively. My only complaint might be that the pillows were hard, lumpy and uncomfortable--the rest of my family didn't complain though:). Overall, a very good experience for our family.

Good location but noisy

It's a small hotel with a feeling of big hotel - staff were nice but a little cold. Suite style rooms, not stylish but somehow comfy. There are a lot of noises at nights (bars around) and during the day too.

El servicio es excelente, muy atento todo el personal, el desayuno es bueno, las suites agradables, solo un par de detalles, no hay aislamiento de ruidos ni al exterior ni al interior, se escucha todo en la calle y en la otra habitación había una mujer muy «vigorosa» y ese par de noches no dormí bien.

Nice choice in a good area - five star staff

Great location, comfortable modern furnishings in the heart of Quito - tons if restaurant options, 2 blocks from the largest park in the city. The staff was AMAZING very helpful, warm and professional!!! Only issue there is renovating/construction going on to add a spa and other nice amenities...

Great boutique hotel near Carolina Park

Very nice hotel with kitchen and living room. Good breakfast was offered daily. Staff at front desk and porters were excellent. Only thing to improve would be the heating/temperature control in the room which vascillated between hot and cool. Otherwise, it was great.

Flat com estrutura de hotel com café da manhã incluso. Suite completa com closet e uma ducha muito boa. A sala integrada com cozinha americana incluindo fogão, geladeira, micro-ondas, pia e acessórios. Existem vários restaurantes na redondeza e no Parque Carolina, muito próximo ao hotel, existe o Jardim Botânico de Quito. Psáris, um ótimo restaurante quase de frente ao hotel, serve comida mediterrânea e na redondeza existem o hipermercado MegaMax e o shopping Quicentro.
