I was only at the lodge for a night but it was a nice stay. The common area had great amenities and a beautiful view. Would stay here again when I'm next in Queenstown.

This hotel was fine for a few nights. Good location, very walkable to town and our room had a nice view of the mountains. Only negative was a wet spot in front of the refrigerator, which was very smelly whenever we came back to our room after being gone. It was OK after we aired it out a while. Wish that there would’ve been someone at the desk more hours to answer some questions we had and to report the wet spot. Didn’t seem to be anyone there when we needed them. Had a rowdy group across the hall one night and it would’ve been nice to have the management quiet them down, but there was no one at the desk. However they were very good and helpful when they were there, and we appreciated them helping us with our bags since there were several flights of steps we had to go up, and our bags were extremely heavy! The room was well equipped with kitchen items and provided coffee , tea, and milk, which was nice.

It’s a budget stay and nothing more. It’s walkable to the town centre but an uphill walk back. It’s also not the cleanest. Found cobwebs in the corners and carpet not thoroughly vacuumed. Reception desk is also closed at night. Overall, it’s an ok stay if you want to stay close to the town and only want a bed to sleep in.

Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. I dont think there are any official housekeeping staff only the owners are cleaning. The rooms are dated and showing their age. There is no crockery or cutlery but you can use find some in the common room. Old noisey fridge. Worn furniture and carpet fraying. Location is driving the price but should not be more than $200 per night at current standards. Great that parking was included. I think with more modern hotels that are cheaper, we wont stay here again. Huge hill to walk up/down to get to town.

Chose ML for the area and that was almost the only positive. Website listed free parking however there were only 10 spots, considering cost of QT parking, this is very misleading. We paid for a queen bed and received two single beds under one queen bedsheet that kept separating and was very uncomfortable. Our toilet clogged on the first day and it took staff two whole days to even attempt to fix it. We found long black hairs in our bed and bathroom. The aircon/heater rarely worked and we had issues with hot water in the shower. When requesting room cleaning, nothing was changed except for our towels and they chucked our pillows on the floor? The walls were very thin and could hear people arguing into the night and early morning. I understand this is cheap / budget type accommodation but that does not mean ML can present false information and unhygienic rooms. Would not recommend staying here.

My son and I actually stayed here twice. We stayed 2 nights when we flew into Queenstown and then took a road trip for a week and stayed one more night before we left. The first stay was pretty good. The room is quite small. It felt awkward sharing the shower with everyone there when it looked like a small closet right in the hallway. They also don't heat the hallways so besides our room it was freezing in there. When we came back at the end of the trip the front desk attendant gave us a free upgrade. That was super nice of him and the room was way better than the first one we booked. It had two beds and its own bathroom and patio deck. Overall this placed worked for us. It was close to all the shops but has limited parking. I would stay there again if we went back to New Zealand.
