"If you are visiting for your first time to Costa Rica this is not the place. When we checked in at midnight we walked to our room, that was farthest from front desk, and the keys did not work. Had to walk back to get keys that worked then the door latch on the inside caught so we had to Jimmy it open. The rooms were not well maintained and the doors did not seal so bugs would crawl in the room and we would have to kill at least 5 bugs a day. The shower only had hot water so could not adjust the water temperature. The staff was not helpful at all and no one seemed to really know what was going on. No instructions were given to us that we had to make a reservation to use the restaurants for dinner. We went to have dinner the first night and only 1/3 of the tables were full. They would not seat us simply bc we did not have a reservation. There were only 2 of us. We paid for the premium to be able to eat at the restaurants. We tried to make reservations the next day and got declined on the app. Went to the front desk and had to wait then found out to make reservations we had to talk to someone else the front desk could not help. They had plenty of open times so there was no reason for it to have been denied when we tried on the app we were told to use. It seems more like a local vacation spot not for visitors from other countries. You get what you pay for here. Worth spending the extra money for a better experience. The views were great."

"The ceiling fans really need to be cleaned. Mine had 2 inches of dust which was not good for my allergies. "

"Rooms were exactly as advertised and very clean. The service went from great to average to great again. The restaurant staff seemed a bit inexperienced. The food was very good. The presentation and service was just above average. The staff attempted to address the issues and I would recommend giving it another try. "

"Parking in the street is sketchy. I would highly recommend knowing how to speak Spanish if you are staying here. Not a lot of surrounding restaurants. Staff are very helpful, AC works well, pool is great, community hotel vibe with updated rooms. Power went out twice, but they had a company fixing it there immediately. Hotel parking is tricky-but eventually worked out. Go early for breakfast-avoid the rush. "

"Room was clean and spacious, large bathroom, shuttle staff were very friendly. Had a great view from room and able to see lots of different wildlife - recommend watching sunset and night tour - was disappointed had to pay additional $20 to hike trail at the top of the hill. Breakfast buffet was ok - traditional Costa Rica breakfast options. Wish the pool bar was opened longer to have time to swim and relax after done with tourist attractions and supper"

"Breakfast was typical. Server plated your food. Not sure if you could return for more rice & beans. There is no coffee maker, or water with glasses. Room was clean with air conditioning, pool area was large with plenty of seats. Over all, would not return. "
