Overall, everything was fine and clean. But! This is the first hotel I've ever been to without hot water. I arrived late at night and was shocked to discover the hotel uses a solar heater, and if the water tank runs out, they have no way to provide hot water to the room at night, and you have to shower with COLD water. I contacted the front desk, and the person was very kind, but they couldn't help me. The next day I reported it to the front desk, and their response was astonishment, but unapologetic. It's unbelievable. I will never return.

We loved our stay at Parador El Faro. We went for 4 nights. They have an upscale restaurant right on the property. We will definitely book our stay there again in the future.

Very friendly staff and room was clean. We have been here before and was looking forward to coming back. They are under a big renovation project adding more rooms and we loved what they did to the big pool.

We arrived at 2:30pm and the from desk indicated that we need to wait until 3:00pm for the check in. At 3:00pm there was a huge line for the check in process. It took about one hour to wait on line and complete the check in. The hotel can initiate the check in process upon arrival and the guess will only need to pick up the room key at 3:00pm or when the from desk staff indicate

Staff at check in was not welcoming nor helpful, chk In Was supposed to be at 3 pm and at 2:05 pm room was still not clean or ready. Reservation was done a month in advance. The staff at check in gave me a hard time for being there 55 minutes prior. I had check out of a beautiful resort, where checking in was supposed to be @ 4 and staff had no problem giving us a key @ 1:30. It was dirty, window was broken and a roach in the bathroom at 1:30 , people were yelling in parking lot. Horrible experience. I don’t recommend, it wasn’t cheap either. Definitely not worth the money.
