Only negative was the construction… you’d think they would at least take off Labor Day - but instead the heavy equipment engines, beeping and hammering started before dawn. I understand growth and goals, but at least delay noise making until after 8-9am. Not exactly peaceful starting your vacation before sunrise to what sounds like dumpsters and city life.

Loved the location and the restaurants located at the resort. For us the unit (21) was like we were staying in a boyscout camp because there was no A/C, no Frig and had a TV that was from the early 2000s. I would figure paying over $400 a night I would have at least the things that I listed. I think if we would go in the winter that would be OK.

Our first time here….Beautiful Mountain retreat. We booked a ‘suite’ & I requested a private balcony- they accommodated us beautifully. Our room was in ‘River Run’ group. Visit their site to look at the different room groups/ locations: River Run, Pines, Mandala. The sound of the River rushing right outside our balcony - wonderful. Property is clean, room was great with fireplace plus jetted tub. Restaurant ’TreeRoom’ -absolutely five star awesome. We also had Spa treatment, also spectacular. However, it’s an uphill hike from River Run, but they’ll shuttle you free. Downsides: there’s A Lot of construction on site (June 2025) as they build ‘Act 2’, huge hotel expansion. Sound of trucks starting in the morning was audible from our room. Suggest you check w/ front desk if you want quiet. Staff- fantastic. We really enjoyed this place.

This is a charming mountain resort! Our stay was great and we especially loved that we could bring our dog. Our room was nice, private and comfortable. I loved the walking trails to each part of the property. The restaurants were delicious and the staff very accommodating. The overall service and experience was wonderful. We had Thanksgiving here and it couldn’t have been more delightful. The resort is building a large building that was kind of an eye sore but everything else was decorated beautifully.

The good: beautiful rustic setting. Grounds are stunning. Restaurant was excellent— quality and reasonable prices for a world class resort. We went two nights and were wowed both times. Studio room had a private hot tub. Staff was warm & courteous. The bad: restaurants and snacks onsite are remote and hard to get to, private hot tub only lukewarm, and pools/whirlpool inconvenient to our unit. No courtesy water in room for over $400 a night. The very, very bad: we had a unit with several flights of stairs going down. My fiancé slipped due to the snow/wet floors so we spent a day of our expensive stay at an emergency room. We needed valets to carry our luggage up and down and we’re fit. Lastly, our neighbors (above us) kept us up with walking in their boots half the night. I would never stay there again if I had to share a wall or ceiling.
