We booked this property because rental options in Clarendon are limited and we wanted to stay close to family. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst places we’ve stayed. The home was filthy, with an old toilet brush and plunger, used soap, worn bathroom and toilet mats, debris and loose building material, and questionable stains throughout. I spent the entire stay uncomfortable and felt the home needed a deep professional cleaning, repainting, and replacement of much of the furniture. The listing advertised four bedrooms, but only three were available. One shower head didn’t work and was blamed on low water pressure, though it appeared clogged with limescale. One upstairs A/C also didn’t work. Outside, animals had torn through the garbage, leaving the yard disgusting, and the patio had no furniture. After checkout we realized we left behind a Samsung phone and two VR remotes. I cannot say they were stolen, but despite the host saying the cleaners searched the home, nothing was found. Given the condition of the property, I was not confident it had been thoroughly cleaned or searched. The host was dismissive, difficult to reach, and unhelpful throughout. If cleanliness matters to you, avoid this property and keep valuables with you at all times.
