We had room on 5th floor with ocean view and it was wonderful. Bed was comfortable The hotel does need renovations ( as does downtown Prince Rupert!) but it was clean, staff were very friendly and breakfast was decent. It’s great for a 1-2 night stay if you are going on the ferry the next day

Pros: hotel staff were very helpful, heater/AC worked Cons: the hotel had a water leak and there was no water for hours in the morning. When a basic amenity such as running water is not available, there isn’t much that can make it a positive experience.

Nice staff on checking in. However the person at checkout wasn’t very friendly. Only one elevator was working. The area around the hotel was very noisy with traffic and an intersection walk signal. The room was clean but had previous damage that had been sloppily repaired. Bathroom doorknob loose, baseboard paint all over the walls/floor and drywall obvious repairs. Free continental breakfast but it wasn’t the best. Coffee, juice, cutlery, milk and other items were empty and no one to refill. When a man finally refilled the coffee and juice, he did not look very professional as he was wearing an old hoodie and dirty jeans. The area around the hotel is dirty and has a lot of street people. The parking area looked sketchy.

Was checked into a dirty room. Waited 2 hours to have it cleaned Was not aware of Boil Water order. Were given a bottle of water each and could refill it if needed. Pop machine not working. One elevator not working, breakfast was great, but had to ask for a bottle of water to make my own decaf.
