Welcome to The Heritage Suite at The Ferg, part of the County Curated collection.

This home can accommodate 4 adults (age 12+) and 2 children (age 2-12) as per the property's short term accommodation license.

This two-bedroom suite makes up the original 1840's home and as such maintains the grandness and scale of the era. It includes a fully-renovated kitchen with a dishwasher, full fridge, stove and oven; a spa-like bathroom with a claw foot tub and a separate stand-up shower; laundry; spacious living areas and a classic front porch to sit and enjoy coffee in the mornings. You won't be lacking in space to escape or to entertain.

We have lovingly restored and renovated all three suites in the house, maintaining the beautiful historic details while providing all the modern comforts our guests expect and deserve. Our interiors are designed to provide you with the most comfortable and inviting backdrop for your time in The County with your friends and family. We were inspired by the Scandinavian design principles of warmth, simplicity and minimalism.

The Heritage Suite at The Ferg is steps away from the bustling Main Street of Picton, Ontario, where you can grab a delicious latte, healthy baked goods, and high-fashion finds. Fantastic restaurants, pubs featuring live music and local craft beer, an indie bookstore and local artists galleries are just some of what you will find a stones throw from our backyard.

Centrally located in the main town of Picton, wine country is 20 minutes away by car in all directions. Stock the wine fridge with Prince Edward County's famous Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. Make a family dinner in our fully renovated chef s kitchen from the farm stands and markets in the area (and please make use of our kitchen garden in the summer months).

We loved the location of this property! It’s walkable to everything in Picton and very centrally located. The house itself is beautiful, charming, and clearly designed with a lot of thought and care. The local bottle of wine and Nespresso machine were nice touches.Unfortunately, the property is in need of maintenance and a much deeper clean between guests. During our stay, the kitchen faucet completely detached from the counter and fell into the sink, making the kitchen unusable. After contacting the host, there was no effort to resolve the issue while we were there. Looking through previous reviews, it appears this faucet issue and other maintenance concerns have been mentioned for quite some time.There were also multiple upkeep issues throughout the home: peeling paint, stains/drips inside, doors that don’t close properly, a loose bathroom faucet and toilet seat, and a broken latch connecting to the adjoining loft suite that felt like a safety/privacy concern.Cleaning also seemed rushed, dirty stove knobs, stained toilet, glasses left with lip marks/liquid inside, and the shower didn’t appear fully cleaned. You can also clearly hear guests in neighbouring suites.Overall, this property has a lot of charm and potential, but the upkeep and cleanliness currently do not match the listing standard.

Not being used to the coded door entries, and an old front door, the instructions were not 100% accurate and this lead to us calling for assistance to get in, but the fellow came by in mere minutes and was very understanding, and then all was great. The place was good and we would stay there again, no problem.
