The room was dirty and poorly designed. I killed two spiders in the room. The steps to get to the ice machine were filthy and needed to be swept. The floors in the room were also filthy and needed a good cleaning! The staff was okay. Not located to anything walkable but close to downtown Portsmouth.

When I checked in on the first night of my two night stay, the room was very nice, however it was super noisy. Highway was right outside window! Next day I asked to be moved to another room, which Nicola did for me and even upgraded to a suite. The beds and pillows are amazing. They get 5 stars!!! Breakfast choices were plenty and staff was so kind. Highly recommend Portsmouth Inn.
