"My family stayed here over the holiday weekend and we found the place to be perfect for us to spend quality time together. The check-in process was clear and the unit was well-stocked with everything you'd need to enjoy it to the fullest! A couple of things that could be improved: * The pool/hot tub closes 30 mins before the posted close time. You also need to sign in and get a pass before using the facilities. This would have been nice to have been communicated in the listing and/or have a printout in the unit instead of finding it out from the rude lady at the check-in counter. * The shower in the bathroom closest to the parking lot drips in the night. * The checkout time of 10 am is a bit early Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway."

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Heron House, a truly remarkable property right on the sound. This lovely home exceeded all our expectations with its breathtaking views, fantastic kitchen, and outstanding hosts. The Heron House offers panoramic views of the sound, providing an ever-changing backdrop of seals playing and eagles hunting for fish. The well-equipped kitchens made cooking a delight, and the open-concept living space allowed us to enjoy the views from every corner of the house. The mornings brought a magical touch with fog rolling in from the sound, and the changing colors of the trees added to the charm. The hosts were exceptionally warm and helpful with a wonderful guidebook on things to see and places to eat, making us feel right at home. In summary, the Heron House is a hidden gem for a peaceful retreat with incredible views and modern comforts. We left relaxed and eager to return to this remarkable place as soon as possible. HIGHLY recommended!!"
