We came for our winter vacation in Riu with our family total of 8 members in December. The resort has great room lay outs, clean and overall staff works very hard to keep this resort running well. There are also a lot of activities going each day to keep people entertained. However we faced a downside, that we all got a stomach bug that kept us sick for the major part of the vacation. This stomach bug was terrible because it came with a diarrhea and vomiting non stop until you get medication to stop it. For the younger kids it was way worse as they would puke anywhere and out of control. Overall just be-careful if you are planning to go here and see if you can get anything preventive prior otherwise you might miss a part of your vacation.

Excellent overall. Clean beaches. Close to several excursions. Lots of on-site activities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Many restaurants. Many menu options in buffets. Some restaurants could have had more menu options and higher quality food items. Always felt like a valued customer.

The food was very fresh and there was lots of variety. The only complaint is that it can be quite noisy at night especially if you have a room near the paring lot. There were trucks backing up with their beeping at 5:00am in the morning and the sound of cleaning in the hall ways very early.

I had a fantastic time at this resort! The beach and pools were absolutely amazing, and the food overall was great. I’m a bit of a picky eater, so a couple of the restaurants weren’t totally my favorite, but they were still very good. I loved the activities they had to offer and the option to visit other nearby RIU resorts, which was such a nice bonus. The rooms were great, and the staff were incredibly fast, attentive, and always went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to go back again!

The people are excellent. Everybody from the entertainment staff to cleaning services to hotel administration to the restaurant personnel. We ate and drank (all day) and had a great time from morning to night. Everything was clean. The food was good (set your expectations appropriately, it’s not the Ritz Carlton!) I would highly recommend the hotel to anybody looking for a fun and easy family vacation at the beach, especially if you like “participating” (we’re “in” for water aerobics and beach volleyball and crazy pool games (and everything else)).

I have been coming to this resort every year for New Year’s, and each year it gets worse and worse. In the past, the management really made an effort: there were beautiful New Year decorations outdoors, nice areas to sit, take photos, and enjoy a glass of champagne. Now it looks miserable. Minimal decorations, no atmosphere at all. The champagne served is the cheapest possible. If you want decent tequila, you literally have to beg for it — and on top of that, the staff lies, claiming they served good tequila. I know tequila very well, so this was especially disappointing. They also organize concerts with completely unprofessional singers, and the sound quality is terrible. This year I honestly did not like a single thing. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for New Year’s celebrations.
