The room temperature controls could be improved. The wife and I like it cool at night. When we set the temp to 68 degrees, it would stay there for awhile then trend back automatically to 72 degrees. Did not appreciate this.

What a wonderful place! We truly enjoyed our second stay at The Maverick and were completely surprised by the personal note welcoming us back. Great location and beautiful rooms.

Converted YMCA, so rooms are spacious. No kitchen other than a fridge, but otherwise, a great find. Close to shopping and local library is next door, if you just want to get out of the building.

Would Love to Stay Again

Vibrant area, with lots of shops and restaurants. There is a city parking lot behind the hotel. No technology problems. Great bar in the lobby. The rooms are very quiet. There was a huge boisterous wedding on the first floor and we couldn't hear a peep in our room.

I booked it last minute. The check in was easy and fast. Everything clean, set up for the guests. I needed to print a paper for work, there was a work station in the hallway with 2 monitors and a printer. I was able to connect wirelessly and print it. I loved large windows and decoration of the room. There was a small electric kettle and a microwave in the unit. I loved my stay and will come again. And the old building it’s in is gorgeous. Staff is nice and helpful.
