Room was very clean and nice. It was unfortunate that the room didn’t have a fridge. Shower was real nice. Staff was nice. Only complaint we have and the reason we are giving 3 stars is because it’s a big one. We had requested to pay in cash at the end of our stay to pay for the room, but when we checked out they had already taken the money off the card. We had told front desk numerous times that we wanted to pay with cash and they wouldn’t allow us to pay until we check out. But they had already taken the money off via the card we just “had” to put on file. Also 28$ a day for valet parking? We didn’t even want it. We didn’t even know they had this. We were paying to stay at Tryp not paying 50$ for 2 days of my car barely in the parking lot because I work.

When I pulled up the young lady in the valet was very derogatory and condescending and I felt very uncomfortable on how she treated me. We mistakenly pulled into the valet and she immediately said that there’s no listing for my 2 two year old twins. First, she jumped to conclusions . We were simply dropping off some of our items. I had just arrived into town in order to move from Va to pa. So, I was dropping off some things and then I was taking my children to my mother’s house. She made it uncomfortable to even begin the check in process. Then when we were going to leave because she clearly made it uncomfortable to even check in she then asked why were we leaving? She was very rude and I to be honest felt as if she had a racial discrimination tone to her verbiage and actions. If I had not already paid I would have left. Terrible service the hotel on the other hand was beautiful

The hotel room and everywhere was spotless and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay but the only difficulty we had was the parking was $28- a night which we thought was very expensive. When we checked in on 12/22/25 late evening the associate at the front desk mentioned that the 1st night parking would not be charged to us...but it was. When we checked out on 12/25/25 the associate said she would have to talk to a manager to have this approved; either way they were to call me to confirm or not; which no one ever did. I called back twice and left manager voicemails to call me and discuss and I've never recieved a call back....I would appreciate a $28- credit for the 1 night parking that was discussed when we checked in

Hip, well designed, unique boutique hotel. For a one night stay, this hotel had everything we needed and a cool vibe. For a longer stay… gluten free, vegetarian menu options would have been nice. Design was beautiful, but it is an older building and the street traffic is pretty loud. This is something to note if several night stay. Convenient for us with one night, but the valet parking was $30 for the night and street parking was pretty nonexistent when parked almost on the bridge.

Staff was nice, the room was clean and handicapped accessible, they have 2 restaurants on site, a bar, and a coffee shop. They have snacks available that can be charged to your room, or you can walk to Wendy’s or GetGo. They do charge you a valet fee of $28+ tax, other than that it’s a fancy motel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room on the first night, was facing the busy road, and was very load at night. Seemed like the windows were open, the cars were so loud. For the rest of my stay, they moved me to a different room, and it was much better, very quiet. The valet staff was very good and friendly, but hated having to use the valet service each day, and spending $28 a night. You really have no other choice, as no good parking available near by. All in all, a good hotel.

I loved the rooms at TRYP’s Pittsburgh location. The staff was awesome and accommodating. It also is a located near some great local spots if you wanted to venture out and experience Pittsburgh.

We reserved a deluxe king room. The room was extremely tight & bed was smaller than typical king. It was 69 1/2 by 80 (standard king is 76x80). I checked with front desk after checking in and was assured it was a deluxe room. It was a quiet weekend but any conversation in hall echoed in room. Positives-The location was helpful to walk around Lawrenceville.
