Well you get what you pay for. Price was super cheap. Hotel has seen better days. Our room, towel rack broken, floors not swept or mopped, windows were filthy, smelled, no tissue paper and doors needed paint. The beds were clean and comfortable. That was about the only thing good about the place. Looked at the pool and laughed, water was dirty and murky. No way would I go in there!

No need for walls you can hear everything

We have stayed several times with no issue. This time we had a 3 bedroom on the 6th floor. I knew the names of everyone in the room beside me and we never met. One child said good morning neighbors to us..thru the wall!! Had to listen to a baby cry most of the night when we paid to get some sleep. Room was clean as usual.

Upon checkin we were told no water. Then room not ready even though it was after 4p. After a small arguement, i was given my key to my room. Room was okay. Definitely an older building that has had some updates. Could be cleaner and more updated. Once water was back on, we never got hot water in the 2 days we were there. Pool Definitely needs to be updated. It appeared dirty but it was just the concrete that was stained. Granddaughter still had a great time in the pool. Upon leaving the pool, (the 3 times she went swimming) she was forced to take a cold shower due to no hot water. Beds were clean and comfy. No tray in microwave so couldnt use. Freezer part of fridge needs to be dethawed. Couldnt use. Office locked when tried to get coffee both mornings at 730. No breakfast served even tho site said "continental breakfast ". Housekeeping came in our room twice while we were gone even tho we didnt ask for new towels or our beds made. (Didnt like this part as i was traveling with myself (single woman) and my granddaughter. ) Air conditioner very old but worked. Hardly any parking. Had to park jn a lot behind the hotel about 1/2 block away. Felt very unsafe for a single woman and 9yr old. Hardly any lighting. Overall, i would give this hotel a 2 star.

Reasonable for 1 night

Room was basic, nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. No hair dryers available and no breakfast although coffee in the lobby was great. It was quiet after 11. For the price it was well worth a place to sleep for a night. We did not use the piol but it looked nice. Was very close to the island

Nice bed. The building could use a hose down. The room could definitely use a broom and mop on the floor more often. Clean the walls as well. Staff was amazing. AC was hard to regulate but I think that was just the room. Overall if you aren’t looking for luxury then it’s a good place by The Island to stay and it’s close to everything.

Bed was nice. Definitely could use a cleaning outside and the rooms could use a sprucing up as well making sure the floors are clean and walls are clean. It’s a nice place to stay for a few days. Don’t expect a lot. It is close to The Island. That’s a plus. Walking distance to most things on the strip. Staff were great.

Stay Away!

Upon arrival at Mountain Vista Inn in Pigeon Forge, we were immediately appalled by the condition of the property. The parking lot and surrounding area were covered in trash, cigarette butts, and spilled liquids dripping from above onto parked cars. It looked completely neglected and dirty. When I went inside to check in, the front desk clerk rudely told me our room was not available even though we had arrived well after the posted check-in time. We accepted this and left to return later, but when we finally checked in, the experience was worse. The lobby was filthy, smelled terrible, and was cluttered with random items. The check-in process took far too long, and the staff was unfriendly and dismissive. When we entered our room, we were horrified. There were cockroaches crawling around, blood stains on the walls and sheets, and cigarette burns across nearly every surface. The room reeked of smoke and mildew, and it was immediately clear this was not a safe or clean place to stay. I went back to the front desk to express concern and requested a different room. I was told there were no other options, but housekeeping would take care of the issues. We left for several hours, hoping the problems would be resolved, but when we returned, nothing had been cleaned or replaced. We returned the keys, told the staff we would not be staying, and left. This hotel is filthy, unsafe, and should be avoided by anyone who values cleanliness or comfort.
