My room was left open and unlocked by the housekeeping staff while I was away from the property. I found my room open and unlocked when I returned. While the front desk staff were trying their best, the unsafe location of this property was apparent with one front desk worker in charge of checking in guests at the same time he was arguing with an unauthorized local person who had gained entry. The front desk person had to allow it, because he had no other choice at the time. Feeling unsafe after finding my 1st floor room unlocked and open, and informing the front desk with nothing except a "I'm sorry", I chose to go to another holiday inn express. Neither Expedia or HI will provide me with a refund for 2 nights of hotel that I prepaid. This is leaving me to assume that neither company values guest personal safety. Breakfast area was dirty with limited choices compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations. Parking lot felt unsafe as there were local people in the parking lot who were not guests, one of them slumped over on the ground.

Pros: clean, comfortable bed, TV w/ Google Chromecast, fridge, quiet Cons: Not the prettiest area, limited (but free) ungated on-site parking lot, and buffet breakfast was probably one of the worst I’ve had and with limited options (frozen pastry, burnt omelettes, potatoes were akin to a chopped up MDF board, orange juice was heavily watered down, etc.), no toiletries in the room.

I booked this hotel last minute- as we were coming into town for a concert at the Arizona Financial Theater. We stayed for the weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. Brad at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and nice. We were glad to see him throughout our stay. The breakfast offered had some items you dont find elsewhere- soy milk, greek yogurt, and a coffee machine that grinds per cup! The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the free, close parking and the convenient proximity to our venue and also the freeways to get anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely choose this hotel in the future!

I liked the staff on site. I didn't feel safe with the fenced/gated park across the syreet. Too many homeless people and lall the loitering and the sketchy activity in and around that park!!!
