The staff were amazing, especially the valet staff. A lot of un-homed folks around the area. The room did not have refilled soap or body cream when we arrived. The front desk was more than willing to provide with what we needed. Unfortunately, at breakfast we saw a mice in the cafeteria, and everything; light fixtures, chair frames, and especially the windows were terribly dirty and dusty.

hotel close to the convention center

I drove there, so the hotel is inconvenient for that because you need to park in the street and then pay for expensive parking. It is walking distance to the convention center, but the walk has homeless people around. Service at the hotel was very good, people were nice

Geographically the hotel is in a great location if you are visiting the city. Walking distance to most popular sites and restaurants. There are homeless around the convention center but not in front of the hotel. The room was very clean. The beds were definitely worn and uncomfortable. There was a microwave as well refrig in the spacious 2 queen room. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. I had texted to find out where to go for valet on arrival and was told it was in front of the hotel. It would have been more helpful if we were told it was actually across the street where there was an unmanned very small sign. My sister called and waited 10 minutes on hold for someone to answer the phone so we could find valet. My niece ended up going in to get the information inside the hotel. My sister stood in front of the reception desk being ignored by the gentleman behind the desk. The security officer who was very polite and professional came over to get the attention of the person behind the desk. My sister travels a lot and felt that perhaps some members of the Hampton Inn team at this location might benefit from a guest relations seminar.

Station, very friendly stuff at the front desk, quick check-in, enough space in the room for a family of four, free coffee, hot water and water in the lobby, a small shop right next to the front desk, a nice small bar, not enough seats for breakfast after 9.00 am. Breakfast was okay, not much fruit, one type of cereal, waffles with various sauces and toppings, and yogurt. Only one type of milk. Three types of juice.

First impression was I thought the hotel seemed a little tired and dated but I soon decided it was worth the money I had paid for my stay.Great location. Lovely view from the window when it got dark. Crisp white linen on the very comfy bed. Good air con.Good shower .Nice clean towels .Shampoo conditioner Body wash .Hand soap and moisturizer . In the lobby there was hot drinks and ice water on tap. Breakfast was great with plenty variety. Staff were very polite and attentive too. Would definitely stay here again .

The gentlemen at the desk in the evening were so personable and very easy to talk to. If you had a problem they woykd be right in it to fix it. The breakfasts in the morning were great. They gave multiple options for waffles. On both saturday and sunday. I woukd most definitely stay there again.

The staff was very friendly especially at the front desk. The location is convenient and the free breakfast was a nice feature. The bed was particularly uncomfortable and probably could use replacing and while the area is convenient to restaurants, the Convention Center and Chinatown, there are a lot of homeless and mentally ill on the streets in the area of the hotel. Overall it worked for our weekend stay

Positives for the Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention Center were - The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast food is of a very good standard. The location of the hotel, makes it very walkable to all attractions, during daylight hours. The negatives were - Our room, (although having 2 x comfortable queen beds) had very little storage and only one chair. So not a lot of room for two adults. The area around the hotel, (especially after daylight) is ropey to say the least. It is a haven for homeless people and zombies on drugs. This I think this was contributory to the area around the hotel being extremely noisy all night. Not good if you're in a front facing room, like we were. So poor sleep was had. The soft seating chairs at the breakfast lounge are filthy and need a deep clean or replaced. Disappointed there was no swimming pool, despite there being many images on web sites, prior to booking. Overall, I do really expect better from a hotel in the Hilton brand, where customers are paying premium rates, really only for the location and not much else! As the negatives out weigh the positives, I would look elsewhere in future visits to this city.
