Let me get the negative out of the way because the stay was good overall. Check-in was horrible and almost enough to make us want to take business elsewhere. Receptionist (Kelly?) had the personality of a bag of sawdust. First she wasn't at the desk - which is understandable, that happens at times - so desk was unattended and I had to wait a few minutes in the cold before I could get buzzed in. Not sure if she was already having a bad night before we arrived, but she was standoffish, never smiled, barely made eye contact, and seemed to go out of her way to use as few words as possible. It was a little after midnight and no one else was in sight, so it was hardly an issue that she was busy and overloaded helping other people. She never even gave us the courtesy of telling us our room number, where it was located, or how to get there. It felt like I was bothering her but I couldn't figure out what I had done to offend her. Her impression was so bad that rather than spending the extra few seconds asking how to find our room, I decided it was easier to assume the room number was on the key (fortunately it was) and go exploring for the location of the elevator myself. When my wife came in several minutes later, she said Kelly was again not at the front desk and clearly seemed to be pretending like she hadn't just woken up as she came out from the back office area. That aside, the rest of the stay (and the rest of the staff - especially ones working in the dining area) was great.
