Having to pay $25/day for parking was fairly ridiculous given the fact that the room was subpar. The AC couldn’t be turned off so it was cold the entire stay. There was no fridge or microwave in the room which should be at least semi standard for most rooms imo. Staff was okay but always seemed to be frazzled or as if they just didn’t want to be there. Breakfast was also apparently charged too but we never had any given the previous reviews stating that it wasn’t anything special to pay for. Would definitely never book here again.

The hotel was falling apart. There were stains in the carpets, pieces of tile at the pool were broken. The walls had cobwebs in the corners, stains, & peeling wallpaper/paint. The parking was very disappointing & expensive. $25 a night just to end up parking in a make shift parking spot is outrageous. The first night was the worse as I circled around the building for 20 minutes before spelling with someone at the front desk. Her first suggestion was to wait for the staff to leave in another 10 minutes which was not ideal because I had already been waiting 20 minutes. 10 minutes after that an employee directed me to park somewhere but I was not at ease with the location because I was afraid my car would be towed.

This really is the what the Double Tree has beome?

The carpet was a 100 years old. The building is old, the wall paper on the wall is peeling. The room was super cold. It still stayed cold after I adjusted the temperature, because the hall way was freezing too.

Renovation is needed

The cookies are a wonderful treat at check in. The staff was friendly and professional. The lobby area looks nice, but once we got upstairs to go to the room, we were disappointed by the worn out and shabby halfway and hotel room. It’s time to renovate! No more painting over the years of accumulated dirt!

Terrible experience. I paid for two rooms in advance and when I got there I was forced to stand at the front desk in line for an hour then was told they had no rooms left. I had to drive home three hours arriving at 4:30 AM. Please provide refund, it was an awful experience.

I had a horrible day dealing with the Airlines but that’s expected and it’s sad the airlines treat customers like crap. I was given some airline Hotel options but I immediately went to Expedia and booked what I thought was for the night in question….but no Expedia defaulted to next Month for some reason. However, I had an Angel working at the Double Tree and her name was Charnell. She saved my crappy day and my poor experience with the Airline and Expedia. She went above and beyond to save the day. When I arrived, I was a Donkey on the edge. After Charnell, it was all better. The room was clean and comfortable and the price was on par with other area Hotels and much cheaper than the Hotels working with American Airlines. Maybe Charnell should work as a trainer for American Airlines & Expedia.

Parking is not free. No fridges or microwaves in rooms. Wifi quality is awful. In-house sports bar menu prices are an actual joke. The aroma of "recent renovation" (you know the one) penetrates the whole building. The staff is very nice and incredibly helpful, though, and the showers were perfect.
