Superior room was lovely. Very spacious and clean with a little living area, including: sofa and coffee table, fridge, radio, coffee machine etc. was on ground floor, which was great, but near housekeeping, which was extremely noisy between 9an till 4 or 5 really. Not too much of a bother if you’re going out. But I was there to stay in and relax as I was unwell. Had continuous problems with the room key card. It took 4 attempts before I finally got to room. Then many visits to reception to get it fixed again during my stay. The spa/swim/gym area is one of the best I’ve seen. Extremely clean, up to date and every amenity. Unfortunately, you need to pay once per stay to access use of this area while booking third party. I do not think it should be advertised as having those facilities when you book the room on hotels.com, it should be an optional extra, the same way as breakfast and meals. The reception staff were lovely and very friendly. I enjoyed my stay overall. Would definitely visit again.

Super comfy room and staff were great. Food in the restaurant was priced high and the quality fell below expectations for the cost. Gym is small but well equipped and the spa and pool area looked really nice and clean. It seemed like the heating was on in the hotel and it was far too warm. Great easy parking on site.

The hotel had a lovely feel to it. Nice, clean, friendly attentive staff. The spa was fantastic. The pool was a nice temperature and clean, as were all the facilities. The whirlpool, sauna, steamroom were all great and and a back and shoulder massage was fantastic. The food was good quality, the breakfast special of avacado and eggs on toast was cooked to perfection. My daughter and I enjoyed a couple of relaxing days at the hotel, after burning energy during the day, exploring the beautiful surroundings, on foot (hiking), paddleboarding and horseriding.

Nice but nothing special

Wasn’t given any information on arrival about what facilities on offer ie food, spa etc given key and that was it. Room was modern, clean apart from some grubby parts in the bathroom which need some cilet bang! The room and bed was nice and comfy. We used the spa, has a whirlpool which was okay, steam was roasting and didn’t use the sauna cause they are seperate in the changing rooms. Nice comfy robes in the room though which were nice and I also liked a fresh milk & water fountain on each floor. Didn’t eat or drink in the hotel as only 10min walk to Penrith town centre where you wilk get lovely food

Great weekend break

My cousin joined me on a weekend break for my first birthday since losing my husband. Our stay was great from start to finish. Lovely room, pool area immaculate, food lovely and staff very warm and friendly. I'll be back!

The main dinning area was nice but unfortunately the bedroom we stayed in had a lot of mould in the bathroom and the room just felt damp and smelt off. The bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was nice and offered plenty of options. The pool area which you have to pay for was always very busy. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The Hotel was alright, but when paying £200+ a night you expect it to be spot on. The cleanliness of the batheroom wasn't great mould on the grout and in the overflow (strange thing to mention i know but it was at perfect eye line when on the toilet) limescale around the tap, and dirty classes left for water. A little bit of attention to detail would rectify the issue im sure. My biggest concern was the bare electrical components within touching distance of the sink and toilet in a family room. I was staying with my 3 year old son and as much as kids are told not to touch cables or plugs they do at times. So this is very dangerous and a shock from 240v at that age could be fatal. Not impressed with this at all. It was reported to reception
