Sweet, spacious and very private 2 bedroom cottage.
8 mi. to The Caverns, Monteagle, I-24, 9mi to Sewanee.

This well laid out cottage has a wonderful split 2 bedroom plan that lends itself to private space, while it's large, open great room makes a great property for family and friends to share! The front porch encourages you to relax and refresh before heading out to listen to music at the Caverns.
Enjoy the fully equipped large kitchen and gas grill or head to Monteagle for a wonderful selection of outstanding restaurants, just a short, scenic drive through the cove or up the mountain!

Incredible waterfall and hiking trails that are some of the finest in the U.S. at nearby South Cumberland State Park, and the new Savage Gulf State Park! Visit the historic coal mining town of Tracy City and Grundy Lakes to see the coke ovens, and learn the rich history of our area at the Grundy Heritage museum.

Easy access to interstate 24, Please note that you may hear highway noise at times.

Important Note: Ladybugs are very common in our region. Certain times a year we do experience some ladybugs inside of homes. Please know that all lady bugs are removed by housekeepers during the cleaning process, but are likely to be back quite quickly in large quantities.

We loved this little cottage! We went to a show at The Caverns and this was the coziest place to stay with another couple. The kitchen/grill was fully stocked with everything we needed to make a steak dinner before the show. The decor and atmosphere of the little house was so thoughtful and unique. The land surrounding the house is absolutely gorgeous! If you want to bring pups, there is tons of room for them to get out and walk. We paid for an early arrival and that was the only snag. We got there and the owners were cleaning it because they didn't know about the early check in. But we just sat outside and enjoyed the porch while they finished up and they were very friendly folks. Great place!

This was a good location for us as we were visiting near by. Clean and good amenities. Highway 24 is very close and can get noisy with traffic and tractor trailers. Other than that, we would recommend.

Was the perfect stop with our 2 small dogs to roam the surrounding fields instead of a hotel which never works out when traveling with pets. The cabin had everything we needed for a one night stop on our way to Florida from Wisconsin. Plenty roomy and wide open kitchen/ family room.

Between the soft beds killing our backs and the noise, we got very little sleep. Awake since 5:16. 4 Pros and 16 Cons, not enough room2. Interior contents are outdated and nothing matches4. TV - we were advised about the tv remotes but was confusing. There were 3: the Roku only changed channels, another was volume and the 3rd didn’t appear to do anything. * not everyone has Roku so instructions should be provided to advise people how to find out how to watch tv * The ad should advise that the only tv channels available are rerun/old channels (again if new shows are available, no idea how to get it) * At a minimum, provide local channels: cbs, abc, nbc & fox) 5. Ceiling fan in bdrm by front door is broken, can’t change the fan speed * The email notification said there are remotes for ceiling fans but we did not find any, so if this is controlled that way ensure the remote is available 6. Bedroom door, by front door, won’t open far enough to walk by so it has to be moved every time someone goes down that side or to turn the light off/on7. Bathroom door squeaks - wakes people up in the night 8. Bathroom door almost hits the toilet so if ends up hitting your leg 9. Hot water pressure in bathroom sink is super strong,10.The windows are VERY THIN * You can hear the jake brakes from the semi’s in the bedroom * The building must be in a helicopter flight path…began at 5:16am11. Windows need blinds for privacy - curtains paper thin

The house was so cute and great for our family of three - the third being a toddler! She didn’t mind the shower experience (we loved it). Open concept, comfortable bedrooms. Good airflow. Appreciated the WiFi to stream a show during our downtime. Loved that we had space to cook! Our only “complaint” was the grass was so tall we couldn’t really enjoy the yard. The grass was cut the afternoon before we left, which we do understand and didn’t mind at all. Wish we had more time to enjoy it! The property was really great! So close to The Caverns, Monteagle, parks, waterfalls, about an hour to Chattanooga and tons to do there! Would definitely come back!

The home was very cute and out of the way, which is what we were looking for. The location was excellent in terms of proximity to Monteagle and the surrounding area, particularly the State Parks and hiking areas. The kitchen was more than adequate for those who prefer to prepare their own meals, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable for us and our 2 dogs. Noise from the nearby I-24 prevented enjoying open windows and a perfect temperature, otherwise, this is exactly what we were looking for. The fan controls in one of the bedrooms were inoperable, but otherwise everything was in good condition.

A perfect location for the caverns, hiking and a lot of area for walking the dogs. Mornings we saw deer in the field and being able to being our dogs is such a great thing. The management company was very responsive and friendly, and we had everything we needed to cook, make coffee and relax after a day of hiking.

The location was rural and a true country experience. The drive is not for the faint of heart with winding, curvey, steep grade roads that lead to the house. Worth the drive and extra time it took to get places to be off the beaten path.
