"The ground floor of the property is beautiful and very well kept with all the style of the period it was built in. The bed rooms were small but had everything you need but the floor boards are a different matter you could here every step the person in the room above took."

Excellent breakfast, as always, with quality ingredients and a variety of hot and cold options. We also had a great evening meal at the Fat Badger - the burgers were very good! "Had a great overnight stay. The smallest rooms ("Cozy Double") are still a good size, and with spa access from 7am - 9pm, great value. Friendly staff, clean room with lots of sun and a big bathroom with large walk-in shower, wonderful spa facilties, and very close to the town centre. Just a few snagging points to mention. * Car parking. I'm sure this has rocketed since we last visited in December. It costs £18 per day to park in the hotel car park - as a hotel guest! Sure, it might be more expensive in the town centre, but I am not a shopper - I am staying at the hotel. If you are coming by car, you'll need to factor in this significant and disproportionate cost. * Half of the channels on the TV didn't work. * Check-out time is 11am, and the key card will stop working at 11:01am. It costs £30/hour you stay over this. Fair enough perhaps, but bear it in mind if you lose track of time in the spa :) Great hotel. But don't forget to add £18/day to your costs!"
